The cover design for Unimultiplicidade à Deriva, published by Novo Século, interprets a rich anthology of sixty short stories by three distinct authors—Silva, Linhares, and Oliveira—who explore a single “word-theme” from multiple perspectives. The book delves into ideas such as loss, secrets, extremes, idiosyncrasies, traditions, prejudices, failures, and renewals—sometimes tender, sometimes ironic, always alive with tension.
In shaping the cover, I worked from a sketch provided by the authors, using it as a foundation for visual expression while bringing my own sensibilities into the layout. The design balances multiplicity and unity: multiple voices, multiple themes, yet a cohesive whole. The visual elements strive to reflect the anthology’s mood of being — metaphorically — adrift: three sails navigating divergent currents of thought, converging in a vessel that is both fragile and bold.
