For Isla by George Footmore (Novo Século, 2024), I developed a cover filled with symbolism and layered meaning. The design draws on metaphorical imagery, subtly combining iconographic elements that evoke introspection, thresholds, and inner landscapes. Though much about the book’s release remains uncertain, the cover itself was conceived as a visual invitation — something poetic, mysterious, compelling.
My process involved exploring symbolic motifs, texture, negative space, and an evocative color palette, aiming to create an atmosphere rather than a literal representation. The typography was chosen for its elegance and restraint, so it supports rather than competes with the visual narrative. Even without full public details of the text inside, the cover stands as an independent piece of art: a testament to my ability to translate abstract ideas into tangible, symbolic design that awakens curiosity and emotional engagement.
