The Manual de Audiologia Pediátrica (2nd edition) is a key reference in its field—intended for students, clinicians and professionals working with children’s hearing and auditory rehabilitation. It presents foundational concepts of pediatric audiology and advances in diagnosis and treatment of hearing disorders in children.
For this edition’s cover I created both the graphic design and the illustration, tackling a sensitive theme with visual empathy and clarity. The illustration needed to reflect the vulnerability, hope and precision inherent in pediatric audiology: children’s development, family involvement, clinical care. Through a composed color palette, subtle imagery and thoughtful typography, I aimed to convey both scientific credibility and human warmth. The graphic motif is designed to evoke sound, growth and connectivity—an abstract but reassuring metaphor for auditory development and intervention.
This project exemplifies the balance I deliver between technical accuracy and emotional resonance in medical-editorial work. The cover supports the book’s mission: to inform, guide and empower practitioners and families in the care of children’s hearing.
